"Big Tree"

This tree is in the Rockefeller Forest grove, along the western edge of US Highway 101 in Southern Humboldt county.  Traveling east along Mattole road to Honeydew is one of the best redwood drives to be had, and that is how you find this extraordinary grove.  One of my first attempts to portray a ground level human view of their massiveness.
